The MOB Run - My Other Bike's a .....

We know that there are a lot of you out there!  A lot of Cloggers who have another bike in addition to the one that they normally use!  Well, here's a run designed especially for you, 'cos you'll now be able to show off your other machinery with our sanction.  Indeed, with our very encouragement!  Even if it is a cruiser!  Now, don't take on and worry if you've just got the one bike, and there's no likelihood of you being able to beg, borrow and preferably not steal something else.  Come along anyway and add your 'encouragement' to those who do turn up on their chopper, scrambler, hog or whatever.

This is a 'fun run' so the distances have been kept down purposely, and the roads chosen accordingly.  After all, we've no idea what type of machinery is going to be turning up.  You'll see from the Itinerary that each section is around 30 miles and the roads are pretty easy going.  There are some sections that can be taken briskly, if that's appropriate to your 'other bike', but also sections that are intentionally slow and meandering to accommodate the lower performance mounts.  The total mileage is 136.6 and is split into five sections starting and finishing in Clitheroe, Lancashire.  For those coming up north past Manchester then there's another meet at junction 10 on the M60.

The first section takes us through the Trough of Bowland to Devil's Bridge.  The following sections get us to Kirkby Stephen, Leyburn, Skipton and finally back to Clitheroe.  This is a lovely circuit of the Dales and should prove to be a great fun day with excellent scenery.

Remember:  If you don't have another bike to use on the day then still do come along on your Bird, you'll be most welcome.

The BMW R1100S has blown an oil seal!  Unlikely to be fixed in time, but here's hoping.
CYCLOPS Ian

Hmmm, now, will it be the Blade or the Harley!

Unfortunately Ian's leg isn't yet recovered enough for him to join this run.  He'll certainly be missed but then there'll be plenty of opportunities when he's fitter.

GREY WOLF Del

1

Unfortunately Del's popped a disc in his back and can't make it - he's resting up to be sure he's fit for Scotland!
