The Rossendale Valley Motorbike Show - 2005

If you've been before then there's absolutely no need to explain to you just why it's imperative that you come along again this year. For those who haven't yet been to one of these superb shows then check out the 'Related Links' below and see what's on offer. Personally, one of the biggest thrills of the event is the organised mass ride-ins culminating with all the individual regional ride-ins joining together for the few miles into Rawtenstall. Being part of around 1,000 bikes rolling along closed roads with masses of the locals applauding and waving from the roadside is well worth the £5 charity donation and guaranteed parking fee!

There are ride-ins organised from a number of locations around the north of England (Rivington Barn, Devil's Bridge, Squires Cafe and a Heritage run). They all meet-up in the Winsfield car park just a few miles outside Rawtenstall, the town where the show is held and which is closed to all traffic other than bikes for the day.

At the show itself there are plenty of attractions from mini-moto racing, through retail stalls and tattoo shows to vintage bike displays and competitions. Last year they had 50,000 attendees and the place coped admirably without feeling jam-packed.

If you don't know where Rivington Barn is but can find the M60 then you can join the short run organised by Clive to guarantee that you get to the Ride-In meet-up in good time. There may be other people joining at other of the Ride-In starts and these will be added here as we become aware of them, and whatever arrangements are being made and by which Cloggers. If you fancy organising a run to one of the Ride-In starts then get in touch and we'll add it to this page.

If you'd like to arrange your own Ride-In from your area then get in touch and we'll add a Ride-In Section for you. We can do the route and meet-up maps for you or you can just send us the image files. All you need to do is send us an email with what you want adding or changing, as things do, and we'll keep this page up-to-date.
