HOMEDIARYWHO THEY WERETHE CLOGGERS

My Other Bike's a .....

What a belting day for the first 'normal scheduled' Cloggers run of the season, and the weather held enough not to rain on us although we did hit some low cloud on the higher passes.  And we got a good variety of machines as well as a few 'Birds.  We also got to welcome a few new riders, so a big hello to Steve on his CBR600, Rod on his FJ1300 and Davey's nephew Andy riding pillion with him.

Make 'em 'ard ya know, these bikers!  Skip may have sustained a dislocated knee on Friday but it sure as 'ell wasn't going to stop him covering the 240 miles from home, do the 210 mile run and  another 240 miles back home.  He had a very effective way of carrying the crutch on the bike.  Chez Clive's where Skip, Clive, Kit and Chimes (Simon) met up.

After meeting up with Silverone (John & Dawn) and Canary (Rob & Julie) at the M60 junction 10 meet-up it was then just a quick blast up to Clitheroe where the rest of the gang were meeting:  Quiney (John & Sandra), Stuey (Stu & Lainey), Precious Metal (Garf & Sue) and the wonderful surprise of Freebird (Davey) and his nephew riding pillion (Andy) and Rod & Steve, friends of Garf & Sue's.

Now you can't get much more 'other bike-ish' than Chime's Warrior!

Or Clive's BMW K100RS, nor Stuey's Pan!

Garf & Sue, Kit, Simon, Davey, Andy ......

..... Steve (CBR600) and Rod (FJ1300)

And the ladies; Dawn, Julie, Lainey and Sandra.  It was then the first leg up over the Trough of Bowland to Devil's Bridge for a breakfast break.

The second leg took us on to Kirkby Stephen where we have the assembled crew; John, Sandra, Stu, Skip, Dawn, Julie, John & Rob.

Steve's CBR600, Rod's FJ1300 and Rob's VFR.  From Kirkby Stephen it was up and into the cloud down Swaledale for our next stop ......

..... at Leyburn where the Bolton Arms provided a wonderful carvery for the 'fat bastards'!!!  The next leg then took us on to Skipton.

Skip tries out the Warrior for size ... sorta suits him - not so lean & mean!

Stuey's Pan and Rod's FJ1300 before Canary & Silverone took their leave and the remaining group did the last leg back to Clitheroe.

Steve's CBR600 and Canary's VFR.

Skip's motobility Blackbird ready for its homeward trip Monday

A selection of shots from Chimes (we're amazed he's sussed-out how to get the images to us!);  Kirkby Stephen, and the Warrior is used to prop-up a building!

Funny how that Warrior's in the first two shots of Chime's!

Along with Davey, Sue, Garf, Kit and Sandra

The line-up in Skipton:  Pan, VFR, CBR600, FJ1300, Bird, Bird, Pan, K100RS, Bird, Warrior and Bird

The 'Warrior Maidens' latest promotional shot, or was it an attempt to protect the innocence of passing babies and youngsters?

The lads all knew there was a use for all those low down revs!

Stuey, aka Steve McQueen at Clitheroe

Stuey gives Kit the ride of a lifetime around the car park

So John has to satisfy Sue's urges.

"It's very comfy this bath chair tha' knows"
