An impromptu short notice blast brought together a few Cloggers:  L-R Lainey (Mrs Stuey), Simon (Chimes), Stu (Stuey), Eric (Dark Angel), Lorraine (Mrs Dark Angel), Del (Grey Wolf), Andy (Freebird's nephew), Davey (Freebird), Paul (Shadrack), Garf (Precious Metal) and James (son of Precious Metal).  Oh, and Clive (taking the shot).  Well, the sun was supposed to shine but it didn't!  But then it was fairly warm and it didn't rain, so you can't ask for more really :-)  But we had the two things necessary to make the day a belting one; superb biking roads and great company.

Eric and Paul at Devil's Bridge where we all waited for the tardy Garf and James.  The excuse he used was that there was a lot of police activity on his way there.

The lunch stop in Pooley bridge after the storming roads that took us to short breaks in Brough and Alston.

Paul left us at the Hartside Moor Cafe from where he was going to make his own way home via Penrith.

I asked Lainey to give me her "I'm hungry, how long until we stop for food"  look!  Fortunately, being in Pooley Bridge meant that her wait was over.

After Pooley Bridge we took in the views of Ullswater, over the Kirkstone Pass and missed out the last leg down to Gilpin's Bridge as Eric needed to refuel!  Yep, we did promise to blame you!  We were then back at Devil's Bridge.

I'm sorry Garf, but you're going to have to work hard to get rid of this image!

After a good long stop and chin-wag people made their departures for home.

And some shots of Simon's, who's only accompanying comment about the day was "WHAT A BLAST, fast & furious all the way!".  Here we are in Alston.
